Mission Statement

Destiny Group International(DGI) SOZO Foundation is a glogally active non profit organisation committed to training leaders to be agents of change in their unique cultures.

The heart of Eastern Europe is a heart divided. Serb vs. Croat vs. Bosnian. Eastern Orthodox vs. Catholic vs. Muslim. The layers of mistrust are profound and manifold. Conflicting powers and loyalties, centuries in the making, passed from generation to generation, affect every level of society- from faith: Here at the crossroads of Christendom and Islam, religious strife has been a way of life here since the fall of the Roman Empire, some 15 centuries ago. To politics: This is a land conquered, then conquered again, ripped apart and put back together, usually by foreign forces. Out of the rubble of World War I, Western secular powers cobbled together the artificial nation states of Czechoslovakia, Romania, Yugoslavia and others.
Then, after World War II, the final insult: five decades of Communist rule that instilled a pervasive fear and paranoia, making faith a crime, and mistrust the most sensible of emotions. For anyone, your best friend, or even family, could be a paid informant and betray you. How does one build
bridges of trust across these vast chasms in language, politics, religion, nationality, and fierce, tribal-like ethnic loyalties? With a power that unites rather than divides, heals rather than weakens, lifts up rather than destroys the dignity of men and women. It is the power of the Good News of the Gospel, the enduring and reconciling power of the message of Jesus Christ.
